Ghost Tui and flax flowers
This sculpture was inspired by a rare and illusive Ghost Tui discovered in Wellington in 2020.
I started by hand-shaping and bonding multiple pieces of wood into the Kimono form and then created this larger-than-life painting capturing the grace of the the Ghost Tui and it’s environment.
