Iris & Kotuku (Double-sided room divider)

$6,500.00

The front of this room divider was inspired by the beauty of the Iris in their natural environment. A majestic Kotuku (White Heron) which I spotted near the Whanganui Inlet takes flight on the reverse side.

I started by hand-shaping and bonding multiple pieces of wood into the Kimono form and then hand painted this room divider. Unlike my other pieces this one was painted with acrylic and chalk paint which is then hand coated with a furniture wax finish.

It is mounted on a pedestal but can also be hung by the stainless-steel finials at the top of the arms.

Dimensions(mm): 1200w x 1865h x 36d (add 100mm for pedestal)
